Harris highlights – part 2
In the second instalment of our highlights from 2015, we hear from Karla, Adam, Stephen and Verity. If you missed last week’s blog, you can read it here.
Karla López Crowley, public relations and digital campaigns manager
This year was filled with many exciting and rewarding projects. However, my favourite project of the year was the support we gave to the Gx Glass pavilion, Glaze.
Besides the fact that the glass structure is absolutely stunning, I loved that we were able to be a part of the pavilion journey every step of the way. From when it was just an idea on a piece of paper to when it was finally on the streets of London for the Clerkenwell Design Week, we were there.
2016 looks promising and I can’t wait to get stuck into many more exciting projects.
Adam, digital developer
My favourite project of 2015 is one that I will be taking with me into 2016. I am the lead on the new Roofglaze website and it’s given me a new type of challenge, which is why this project is so special to me.
I have been working on creating page designs, building a custom theme from scratch, setting up e-commerce and payment systems. These are not easy tasks, but having the opportunity to tackle such a big project, improve my skills and seeing the end product is why I love my job.
I am looking forward to continuing to work on this project in 2016 and I can’t wait to see what else the year has in store for me.
Stephen Creek, copywriter
Award entry writing for clients has played a significant role in my work over the last few months and thanks to the success we’ve had, it’s only right that I put that down as one of my highlights!
The central challenge of creating the entries was to gather information from clients about the work that’s been done, and then condense this information into a concise, snappy entry. At times it was tricky to cram in all the key facts, which is testament to how much was achieved in each project.
We’ve secured a huge number of shortlistings for our clients this year and I’m confident this will continue moving into 2016.
Verity Park, public relations executive
This month marks my third month working at Harris, so it is difficult to choose a favourite project of 2015. What has been my highlight, however, is seeing up, close and personal the inner workings of agency life.
The first thing I’ve learnt about working at Harris is that no day is the same. You come to work expecting to do one thing and then you check your emails and your plan for the day changes entirely! Luckily I like to be kept on my toes, so this can only be a good thing.
Now we’re into December, I am looking forward to attending the Harris Christmas party so I can become a fully-fledged member of the team. If you’d like to read more about my first few months, you can do here.
