Novus Property Solutions has delivered property maintenance and refurbishment solutions the UK for more than 115 years, and delivers social change through its Changing Lives programme.
We were tasked with devising and delivering a social media campaign that would communicate the values that underpin its Changing Lives programme.
To kick the campaign off, an eye-catching infographic based on Novus’ CSR activity was created, and this was widely shared via social media to give Novus’ followers, customers and partners a sense of the nature of the work done, as well as its impact.
We also created two carefully produced videos documenting the work Novus did refurbishing a nursery school in Cape Town, featuring interviews with the Novus staff who led the project. These were shared via Twitter to introduce the hashtag #ChangingLives, and also distributed via Facebook, LinkedIn, and a bespoke mailer to the Novus email database.
A bi-monthly competition was launched around the #ChangingLives hashtag. The competition offered a £100 prize each month to someone who demonstrated that they’d had a positive impact on another person’s life.
Our campaign channeled the energy and positivity of Novus’ outstanding corporate social responsibility programme.
The campaign reached 115,000 people across social media, and audience growth across social media channels exceeded 35 per cent.
Novus set us the target of having 25 social housing clients communicate the campaign, but the campaign was so successful that 48 clients took part.
This campaign was yet another testament to the creativity and execution of the Harris team. Not only did they interpret the brief absolutely, but they also exceeded expectations in social media reach and activity. I couldn’t believe the response we got when the first tweet went out – I don’t think the Novus Twitter account has ever been so popular.
